This minimart has been in operation for two years in a condo along upper bukit timah.

Novel concept - 100% unmanned, Self Checkout with CCTV installed

 

For 7K you get

1) Existing Stock (worth at least 2k)

2) 1 freezer and 1 fridge (worth at least 1K)

3) CCTV (1k)

4) Point of sales with link to nets machine ( 5K)

5) shelves 

6) Contacts with all the suppliers

Lease for the shop ends 31 Masy 2018, but landlord would like to carry on with the lease. Rent is very reasonable. 

We are letting go to focus on another business. Because it is completely unmanned, i have a part timer to come in once a week to tidy up and to re-stock the shop.  we have no time to take care of the business. 

Things that can done to maximise profits

1)  Advertising to condo residents and residents of nearby condos

2) Delivery to nearby residents (we had requests for this but did not have the time to do as I am working full time and are running other businesses) 

3) Act as laundry collection point (again, we had requests for this but did not have time to do)

4) Sell tobacoo (we currently do not have a tobacco license)

There is a petrol station across the road but residents need to cross a big overhead bridge and the things there are significantly more expensive.

Can use the same concept at other locations.

Can be done within 3 days. it is a very simple business. Thereafter can provide support for up to a month
